By a more conservative estimate, China will become the top importer by 2025, CICC said.China is now the world's largest exporter and the second largest importer. The country's rising imports have a significant global impact, as it is the largest importer for 41 countries and regions, compared with 36 for the United States, the CICC report said.

With imports likely to continue to outpace exports in the coming few years, China's foreign trade will become more balanced as it has been in the past two years, according to CICC.CICC predicts the trade surplus in goods and services will account for around 1 percent of GDP in 2017, the lowest level since 1994.

Authorities emphasized that the federal charge filed against Stephen Beal, 59 — possession of an unregistered explosive device — is not directly related to events that led up to the powerful blast Tuesday that killed Ildiko Krajnyak, 48, and injured two other women.

But in an affidavit filed in support of the criminal complaint, federal officials offered an array of new details about the explosion and its aftermath, and the connection between Beal and Krajnyak, who began a short-lived romantic relationship after meeting through an online dating site.

During the brief hearing at the federal courthouse in Santa Ana on Thursday afternoon, Beal appeared in street clothes – black jeans, a blue sweatshirt and tennis shoes – and answered in a clear voice when asked by a magistrate judge if he understood the charge he is facing:He did not enter a plea, and is expected back in court on Monday.

Beal’s court-appointed attorney declined to comment after the hearing. A small group of supporters in attendance also declined to comment. The hearing scheduled for Monday will address whether Beal can be released from custody, or what bail will be set.According to the affidavit written by an FBI agent, investigators found two completed improvised explosive devices, three firearms and chemicals and materials that could be used to build other IEDs during a search of Beal’s Long Beach home. The home was searched Wednesday along with other locations, including Krajnyak’s Trabuco Canyon residence, in Orange County.

Beal told investigators that the explosives were related to his hobby of making model rockets, according to the court filing, and said he didn’t have the materials needed to set off a large explosion. He acknowledged to agents that at one point he had made a smaller device to assist neighbors with a gopher problem.

An agent in a handwritten note in the complaint noted that the devices at Beal’s home were "not consistent with that of a model rocket.”One of the other women injured in the blast told federal agents that the explosive was inside one of several cardboard boxes that were on the floor of the day spa, along with unopened mail, according to the affidavit. As soon as Krajnyak opened the box, it exploded. The victim recalled being thrown backwards onto the floor and seeing smoke and flames.

One of the witnesses told agents that she saw "everything on fire” after the explosion. Afterwards, investigators found a nine-volt battery, a cell phone, melted material believed to be duct tape and loose wires, according to the court filing.Beal told investigators that he met Krajnyak through an online dating website in 2016, and dated her for about a year and a half. According to the affidavit, Beal said their relationship "began to cool due to disputes over the exclusivity of the relationship and financial issues.”

California Secretary of State records show that Beal and Krajnyak were also business associates, each listed as a chief executive officer. It is not spelled out if that pertained to Magyar Kozmetika, which Krajnyak owned and where the explosion occurred, but one of the address listed was that of the day spa.

Beal claimed that he paid half the rent for the day spa, and half of its operating costs, according to the affidavit, and would sometimes have to loan Krajnyak money to cover the remaining costs.

President Sergio Mattarella said he had agreed with all of Conte's other demands, but his choice for finance minister, Paolo Savona, was unacceptable because his appointment would alarm investors and have dangerous consequences for Italy's outstanding government debt.
Italy has not had a government since it went to the polls in March, the longest such period in the country's postwar history.

Mattarella has summoned Carlo Cottarelli, former director of fiscal affairs at the IMF, to discuss forming an interim government, as new elections seem increasingly inevitable.Italy's public debt stood at 2.3 trillion euros at the end of March, according to the nation's central bank. Italy's credit rating may be cut by Moody's over concerns about the new government's fiscal plans and the risk that some important past measures, such as pension reform, might be reversed.
"I asked for that ministry an authoritative political figure from the coalition parties who was not seen as the supporter of a line that could provoke Italy's exit from the euro," Mattarella said in a televised speech.

You can see the full results here, but the most notable results for OKC: Russell Westbrook comfortably made the second team, while Paul George narrowly got the final spot on the third team.

Second team seems right for Russ. After a slow start where he seemed to be trying too hard to integrate George and Carmelo Anthony, attack mode Russ reemerged. He once again averaged a triple-double, although this season felt far less magical than the last- gone were the dramatic crunch time comeback wins that made OKC a playoff team last year- in their place, wins that felt far more like a slog. Still, Russ’ numbers were undeniable: 25 points per game on 45% shooting, 10.3 assists and 10.1 rebounds per game. Despite the much-discussed addition of superstar talent, OKC continued to bleed points whenever Russ sat. He once again was the engine that drove his team.

Still, he was nowhere near the force James Harden and Damian Lillard, the first-team guards, were and there’s an argument to be made that he was less effective than Steph Curry and Chris Paul as well- however those two guards missed significant chunks of the year with injuries, while Russ only missed two games all season. Russ earned his spot on the second team, and he clearly remains a top ten player in the league.

George received the least votes of anyone who made the all-NBA teams, and if Anthony Davis had been counted as a forward instead of a center, he wouldn’t have made it. Still, PG posted very good offensive numbers all season to pair with his usual top line defense- for stretches of January and February, PG, not Russ, was OKC’s best player. He faded at the end of the regular season however, and that trend unfortunately continued into the playoffs.

Steven Adams also received a little attention, getting two votes (out of a hundred) for third team. Adams has a way to go before becoming an All-NBA talent, but he was improved on both ends of the floor this year, upping his scoring and rebounding while continuing to do the dirty work of rim protection and screen-setting.

Westbrook and George both making All-NBA confirms that execution, not talent was the reason for the Thunder’s struggles this year. Two of the 15 best players in the league suited up in blue this year, but the team never became more than the sum of its parts. OKC now has to wait on Paul George’s free agency decision before finding out if they’ll have a chance to run it back next year.

When the attack happened, obviously it was big. It was on TV and in newspapers everywhere, and it’s like a movie from Hollywood, it’s not me. Lying in the bed in the hospital and seeing it in the news felt pretty weird. As time went on, I heard a lot of rumors about how everything happened. I couldn’t say anything because I didn’t know how everything would end up — if I was going to play again or not. I didn’t want to put any false things to the fans. That’s why my doctor said a lot at that time. I put out [before-and-after photographs of my hand]. At the end of the day, it helped me.

The physical part of recovery was a little bit easier and went a little bit better than the mental side. I put a lot of work into rehab. As an athlete, you always want to do more. I think I did a little bit more than I was supposed to, to be honest. [Laughs] I think my doctor knows that as well.
When I had the hand in a splint, I couldn’t do much. At the beginning, it was passive movement. With my right hand, I moved my fingers, very carefully, into one position. The fingers were very stiff, and it was very painful. I was just trying to get more and more motion. I had electrodes on my hand, on the nerves and the ligaments. The machine was moving my fingers because I couldn’t do it by myself. That was the hardest. It was painful and it was boring, to be honest.

From the time I started to play tennis again and hold the racket, my doctor said I don’t need any more exercises. It’s too much for the ligaments. As he said, playing tennis is the best rehab. My hand was still pretty swollen and painful, because the scars are inside, so holding the racket and pushing the ball wasn’t really easy. I still remember the feeling, actually.Even when I was away, I felt a lot from the fans and from the players and the WTA. I still remember when I came back in Paris last year and I saw all the people looking to me with a happy face. I really felt like it’s pretty honest from them, wishing me well and seeing me back. I think some just couldn’t talk with me, they didn’t know how to behave toward me. What do they say? I would be the same if anything happened to other people. I just wanted to be normal. By having patients swallow a blue dye tablet as part of colonoscopy prep, doctors can boost their chances of catching telltale signs of cancer, new research suggests.Find the latest health articles, stories and opinions on politics, business, society, lifestyle and culture, as well as featured stories and multimedia coverage from SHINE.

The dye is technically referred to as "oral delayed-release methylene blue." When patients ingested the dye in tablet form alongside their usual pre-procedure cleansing preparation, it worked to highlight colon polyps also known as adenomas -- by upwards of 9 percent.

Use of the dye "allowed gastroenterologists to better detect and remove difficult-to-see polyps, which has great implications for further preventing this disease," said study author Dr. Alessandro Repici. He is a professor of gastroenterology and director of endoscopy at Humanitas University Medical School in Milan, Italy.

Repici and his colleagues are scheduled to present their findings June 3 at the annual Digestive Disease Week meeting, in Washington, D.C.Each year, roughly 137,000 Americans are diagnosed with colon cancer and about 50,000 die from the disease, the study authors noted in a meeting news release.

Spotting polyps during a colonoscopy can be tricky, particularly when they're flat or small (under 5 millimeters), one expert in the United States said.

"Routine screening with colonoscopy can prevent most cases of colon cancer, but the effectiveness of the exam can be limited when the pre-cancerous growths are flat (like a pancake) and blend in with the normal colon lining," explained Dr. David Robbins. He helps direct endoscopy at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City.

Robbins said that endoscopists have already tried spraying blue dye into the colon using a catheter, as a way of highlighting polyps in a colonoscopy. But the use of a swallowed pill is an innovation.The new study involved more than 1,200 patients who were scheduled to undergo a colonoscopy at one of 20 centers around the world.

Participants were divided into three groups: one group ingested a full-dose 200-milligram dye tablet during their routine prep; another took a half-dose; and a third took an inactive "dummy" tablet.

According to the largest study of its kind, people aged 11 to 19 who watched one extra advertisement per week about junk food, over the average of six, ate an additional 350 calories in foods high in salt, sugar and fat every week, adding up to 18,000 extra calories per year. The study of 3,300 teens, titled Familiarity With Junk-Food Ads Linked with Obesity in Young People, was conducted by Cancer Research UK and is being presented at the European Congress on Obesity in Vienna from May 23 to 26. According to a press release, it is "the first to look at online TV viewing in such a systematic fashion, and adds to the growing evidence that TV and streaming adverts can influence young people's unhealthy diet."
Jyotsna Vohra, head of the Policy Research Centre for Cancer Prevention at Cancer Research UK, led the research. She said in the release that the key takeaway from the research is "junk food marketing is associated with obesity in young people of all ages, and we know that obesity is linked to at least 13 types of cancer."

In the United States, almost 38 percent of adults are obese and about 18.5 percent of kids under 19 years old are obese. Obesity leads to heart disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and cholesterol, bone and joint problems and asthma.

Obesity has many complex causes, but previous research has shown links between junk and fast food advertising and rates of childhood obesity, according to the study. Consuming high-calorie drinks and foods, which are usually high in fats as well as salt and sugars, greatly increases a child's chances of becoming overweight or obese.

The average teen watches 21 hours of television with advertisements per week, with a little more than half viewed on streaming services, the study found. However, obese teens watched significantly more television – approximately 26 hours, which is the equivalent to one extra advertisement per week.

The participants reported eating about 30 foods containing high levels of fats, sugars and salt per week, compared to only 16 portions of fruits or vegetables.All the teens were able to remember a junk food or fast food advertisement they saw while watching TV, and 80 percent of the brands they were able to recall had at least one fast food product as their top product. Researchers also said that those from what they described as a "more deprived background" were more likely to recall such advertisements.
The participants were "particularly influenced" by advertisements that were age-appropriate and entertaining, and 40 percent said they felt pressured to eat unhealthy.

Researchers found that an increased sense of familiarity with the advertising was linked to an increase in consumption of the junk and fast foods, which led to higher weight, regardless of age and gender.

"The food industry wouldn't pump hundreds of millions into advertising their products by creating catchy adverts if it didn't get people to eat more," the authors said. "With today's teens spending more time in front of screens than any other activity apart from sleeping, curbing exposure to junk food ads on streaming platforms as well as TV will be key to helping teens make healthy diet choices and reducing obesity rates."
